Thought for the day: Day 14

“There are two ways of meeting difficulties; alter the difficulties or alter the way you meet them.”

Another quote taken from the book Destination Success by Dwight Bain.

Thought for the day: Day 13

“Tough times never last.  Tough people do!”

Life is nothing but cycles.  Good flows in, good flows out. Difficulty flows in, difficulty flows out.  Regardless of what is going on in your life right now I promise, it will change. Given enough time, it will change.  I wrote about this topic previously.  You can read that post here: http://wp.me/p3nLpj-e4

Thought for the day: Day 12

“Let your determination override your distractions.”

We all get knocked off course or even knocked down.  The key is to get back up, refocus, and keep moving toward your goals.  The good news is you know what your goals are and what direction you are heading.

Thought for the day: Day 11

“What makes you come alive with passion and enthusiasm?”

Answer that question and you might just find a new career.

Thought for the day: Day 10

“What do I want?  What actions am I taking to change my habits in order to get it?  What’s my plan?”

Do you know the difference between a wish and a dream?  A wish is a ‘pie-in-the-sky’; want it to fall in my lap, fantasy.  A dream is something that’s been written on your heart; something you long for and aspire to.  But all too often, dreams fall back into the ‘wish’ category.  We tend to not take action and hope someday it will all happen like it should.  It never will.

A goal on the other hand is a dream with a deadline.  Decide what you want.  Determine what must be done – what actions you need to take – to get it done and then write it out.  Of course, the most difficult part of that process is taking the action and changing habits and behavior.  The good news is it doesn’t need to happen all at once.  You can take little steps day by day.  Over time you will have discovered your habits and behaviors did change.

Thought for the day: Day 9

“Big ideas and big plans are often easier – certainly no more difficult – than small ideas and small plans.  BELIEVE BIG.”

This is taken from the book, The Magic of Thinking Big.

Thought for the day: Day 8

“Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid.”

I pulled this from the book Destination Success by Dwight Bain.  It’s crazy how true it is.  The bolder you are, the luckier you seem to get.  But it’s not luck.  Things begin to fall into place.  Taking a step out on faith can be scary.  But you’re rewarded in ways you can never imagine.

Thought for the day: Day 7

“Action 1st.  Mistakes 2nd.  Lessons 3rd.”

Thought for the day: Day 6

“My life doesn’t work without my wife!”

Thought for the day: Day 5

“What strengths do I most admire about my spouse?”

You and your spouse are in this thing called life together. Take stock of what you have there.  You married them for very specific reasons. What were they?  After you write out the list, might I suggest you write your spouse a note and let them know you haven’t forgotten?  How surprised would they be if they read a note from you pointing out their best qualities?  You could write one note for each individual strength each day for five days or one note a week for 5 weeks or however you think they would enjoy it the most.
